Ray Russo 

 

Senior Associate. Ray Russo joined Meyers & Associates in 2017 after serving the Southwestern Division of the U.S. Corps of Engineers, most recently serving as the Acting Director of Programs for the Southwestern Division in Dallas, Texas. In this position, he was responsible for the development and execution of Civil Works, Military, Hazardous, Toxic and Radiological Waste programs within the Division. He also provided leadership and supervision for the SWD Programs Directorate and had staff oversight for programs, planning and project management activities in the division’s four district offices.

 

Prior to his selection for this position, he had been the Chief of Civil Works Integration Division for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Southwestern Division since 2006. As the Chief of Civil Works, Mr. Russo was responsible for budget development and execution of the Civil Works program within Southwestern Division.  

Mr. Russo worked for the Southwestern Division since 1991, first as a Lead Engineer Manager and as a Program Manager for the Civil Works program. Mr. Russo’s other notable positions included Policy Analyst at Headquarters, USACE in Washington D.C., Project Manager with the Fort Worth District Corps of Engineers and Civil Engineer with the Fort Worth District Corps of Engineers.  

 Mr. Russo has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Texas Tech University and is certified as a Professional Engineer from the State of Texas. He is an active member of the Society of American Military Engineers and was the recipient of the bronze de Fleury Medal for his superior service to the Army Engineer Regiment and for his numerous contributions to both the civil works and military programs missions of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
